Strategy-2020

Taldykorgan, March 04, 2010 (Khabar) - The Almaty region will implement several large industrial and innovative projects in accordance with Strategy-2020 that was presented by head of the state in his annual Address to the Kazakhstani people. Bakhyt Sultanov, Minister of economy and Budget Planning has said this during the meeting in Taldykorgan. 3-year state program of industrial and innovative development is the first stage of realization of Strategy. It will provide stable growth of economy due to speeding up of diversification through industrialization and increasing of competitiveness, the Minister says. Direct foreign and domestic investments will be attracted and special economic and industrial zones will attract private investments. In particular, pharmaceutical plant, Balkhash heat electropower station, “Khorgos” international center of frontier cooperation, Zhetygen-Khorgos railway, and small power stations will be constructed in the Almaty region. And construction of Moinak hydroelectric power station is to be ended the next year.
Road map business-2020 will help the subjects of small and medium-sized business to take loans and develop industrial infrastructure of entrepreneurship and render services to business. Road map business-2020 will also retrain staff and increase qualification of workers, organize youth practice and social working places. Bakhyt Sultanov has said this direction will be implemented from the next year.

- Road map-2020 will be implemented through the regional executive bodies. Even subsidizing of percentage and payment of guarantees by “Damu” will be carried out under general monitoring of regional governors who will be chairmen of respective commissions and they will consider every project.
