TCG promises financial support for start-up companies

BANGKOK, May 2 (TNA) - Thai Credit Guarantee Corporation (TCG) is ready to offer financial services to young entrepreneurs who plan to start their businesses with innovations. TCG senior executive vice president Wichet Warakul วิเชษฐ์ วรกุล said that as the government was trying to develop the national economy with technologies and innovations, his corporation discussed with the Ministry of Finance its plan to give financial support to start-up entrepreneurs , aged not over 30 years old and had innovative business plans. Mr Wichet said the support would go to young entrepreneurs who did good research for their products and services but still lacked funds to start or expand their businesses because general financial institutions still considered their business plans as risky. TCG would be the guarantor for the borrowing of innovative start-up entrepreneurs, charge low fees and waive its fees in the first year of their operations. The Ministry of Finance would propose the TCG's financial support plan to the cabinet soon. (TNA)
