Tehran mayor reviews transport cooperation with Hungarian speaker

Tehran, Nov 14, IRNA – Mayor of Tehran Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf on Sunday reviewed Tehran-Budapest cooperation on transport, culture and tourism with Hungarian National Assembly Speaker Laszlo Kover. Qalibaf said that Tehran and Budapest have good record of cooperation on transport, calling for cooperation on other fields of economy and industry. If the cultural and tourist ties between Tehran and Budapest be formed, the grounds for cultural and scientific development will be prepared, Qalibaf said. Laszlo Kover said that following visit of Hungarian prime minister to Iran, cooperation has increased and such interactions will continue in future as well. He said that Iran and Hungary have considerable cooperation, calling for regular contacts between chambers of commerce of the two countries to augment trade and commerce. Kover said that the Hungarian academic centers are involved in different researches on cultural affairs, oriental and Iran studies which may make the two nations closer to each other. He said that Hungary is willing to develop cooperation between the Iranian and Hungarian higher education institutes on reciprocal student scholarships. He called for expansion of economic cooperation between Tehran and Budapest, especially on manufacturing bus. 1378/IRNA
