THAI cabin cleaning meets int'l standard

BANGKOK, September 5 (TNA) - The cabin cleaning system of Thai Airways International (THAI), the national flag carrier, meets the international standard. According to a THAI statement, issued on September 4, THAI has complied with the international aviation criteria by launching a cabin total cleaning every time a flight reaches a destination pending its next service. Besides, every cabin big cleaning is launched when a THAI plane is temporarily parked at a bay and every cabin deep cleaning is conducted when a plane is at a maintenance garage on a regular basis. For measures against any cockroach, THAI said in its Tuesday's statement, cockroach killer gel, spray and traps have been applied in the cabin. THAI released the statement in response to a recent share through the social media that a passenger of a THAI flight found a cockroach in the cabin while flying from Sapporo in Japan's northern Hokkaido Island to Bangkok on August 31. Meanwhile, THAI reported that a deep cleaning has been scheduled for the plane on September 5, when it is due to be at a garage for a fresh maintenance, following a cabin total cleaning and a cabin big cleaning once its arrival at Thailand's main Suvarnabhumi International Aiport.
