Thai exporters urged to expand market to Canada

BANGKOK, March 15 (TNA) - Thai exporters have been urged to expand their market to Canada, as the Canadian economy is growing in 2014. Nuntawan Sakuntanaga, Director-General of the Ministry of Commerce's Department of International Trade Promotion, made the call on Saturday, pointing out that the Canadian economy is expected to grow by 2.2–2.5 per cent this year, boosted by the recovering US economy, Canada’s major exporting market. Nuntawan said that Canada also has strong monetary system and is rich in natural resources, and that Canada is now trying to export more to Asia, after noticing that the Asian economy has grown considerably over the past two decades and will sustain growth over the next 10 years.
