Thai PM:Regional connectivity will be developed through five nations' boder areas

BANGKOK, October 28 (TNA) - Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-ocha says that Thailand plans to further develop national infrastructure for the sake of regional connectivity through five special economic zones along the common border with neighboring Laos, Myanmar, Cambodia and Malaysia. General Prayut announced the policy after the Thai Cabinet's weekly meeting in Bangkok on Tuesday. Under the policy, the prime minister said, the Thai government will extend roads, railways, as well as water and air transport networks to connect with the neighboring countries. According to the Thai premier, double rail track extensions are considered highly necessary now. (TNA)
