BANGKOK, August 18 (TNA) - Visiting Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc says that Thailand is the number one trading partner of Vietnam and Thai products are very popular among Vietnamese consumers. The Vietnamese prime minister, who is paying an official visit to Thailand as the guest of the Thai government during August 17-19, also asked Thailand's government and National Legislative Assembly (NLA) to support Vietnamese products and investors in the Thai economy. Besides, the visiting Vietnamese premier asked the Thai government to take care of and provide more opportunities for Vietnamese migrant workers in Thailand. In return, the visiting Vietnamese prime minister promised that Hanoi will facilitate Thai investors in Vietnam. The Vietnamese prime minister made the remarks while leading his entourage to visit the Thai NLA in Bangkok on Friday, where he was received by the Thai NLA President, Pornpetch Vichitcholachai. On the occasion, the Vietnamese prime minister signed the guest book and congratulated Thailand on having a new Constitution. The Vietnamese premier also extended his best wishes for Thailand's success in the next general election and exchanged views and information with top members of the Thai NLA on expanding cooperation between Thai and Vietnamese lawmakers in the future.
