THAI reschedules, cancels flights on northern routes during Loy Krathong Festival 2017

BANGKOK, November 1 (TNA) - As previous years, Thai Airways International (THAI), the national flag carrier, announces that it will reschedule and cancel some of its flights on the northern routes of the Thai Kingdom for the sake of public safety during the upcoming Loy Krathong Festival. Flight Lieutenant Prathana Pattanasiri, THAI Vice President of Aviation Safety, Security and Standards Department, told journalists on October 31 that the rescheduled and canceled flights have been all set during November 3-4. Flight Lieutenant Prathana explained that many provinces in the Thai North normally float lanterns during the annual Loy Krathong Festival, which may affect the aviation and public safety and THAI has, thus, decided to reschedule and cancel some flights on the norther routes to uphold the national airline's maximum aviation safety standards. Thailand's Loy Krathong Festival 2017 falls on November 3. (TNA)
