Thailand, China conclude rice trade deal

BANGKOK, March 12 (TNA) - Thailand and China have concluded an agreement on rice trade during 2015-2016. Thai Commerce Minister General Chatchai Sarikulya on Thursday signed an agreed minute of the first Sino-Thai meeting on farm product cooperation, while closing the meeting in Bangkok. Under the pact, the Chinese government agrees to import one million tons of new rice from Thailand and another one million tons of rice from the Thai government's stockpile from 2015-2016 at market prices. Besides, China agrees in principle to import 200,000 tons of natural rubber from Thailand at a market-leading price. (TNA)
