Thailand to export rice, sugar to Tajikistan

BANGKOK, September 29 (TNA) - Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-ocha says his government is pleased to learn that Tajikistan wants to buy rice and sugar from Thailand. The Thai prime minister made the remarks during his bilateral talks with Tajik President Emomalii Rahmon in New York on September 28 (local time) on the sidelines of the 70th United Nations General Assembly. The Thai prime minister told the Tajik president that Thai Commerce Ministry officials will pursue the issue. Tajikistan and Thailand have established diplomatic relations for 23 years. The Thai leader is visiting the United States from September 24-30 to attend the UN General Assembly 2015. (TNA)
