Thailand exports in March rise by 7.06 per cent

BANGKOK, April 24 (TNA) -- Thailand exports in March rose by 7.06 percent, amounting to record high US$ 22.3 billion, Ministry of Commerce reports with confidence that this year’s exports will reach 8 percent growth target. Pimchanok Vonkorpon, director-general of the Trade Policy and Strategy Office said Monday exports of Thai goods such as farm products, electronic parts and processed food continued their momentum. Thai export value in March rose to US$22.36 billion, the highest monthly exports, she said. With the strong performance, the first quarter’s export grew 11.29 percent, accumulated to a total of US$62.82 billion, she added. The Ministry has set a target for annual exports, a key driver of economic growth in Thailand, to grow 8 percent this year.
