Thailand GDP grows 4.3% in Q3

BANGKOK, Nov 21 (TNA) - The National Economic and Social Development Board (NESDB) announces Thailand’s GDP in the third quarter of this year grew 4.3 percent from the same period of last year. NESDB Secretary-general Porametee Vimolsiri told a press conference Monday that the government's economic advisory body revised its GDP growth forecast this year to 3.9 percent and next year's from 3.6 to 4.6 percent. In its previous forecast, the NESDB said third-quarter GDP would grow by 3.2 per cent, compared with 3.5-per-cent growth in the second quarter. He said growing public and private expenditures contributed to the third-quarter's growth. Next year, sustained export rebound and rising tourism industry would further strengthen the country's economic performance, he said. (TNA)
