Thailand, Japan to celebrate 130-year trade, investment ties

BANGKOK, August 4 (TNA) -Thailand and Japan will celebrate the 130th anniversary of bilalteral trade and investment relations in September 2017. Industry Minister Uttama Savanayana told journalists on August 3 that representatives of the Japanese government are scheduled to visit Thailand next month to celebrate the long-standing bilateral trade and investment ties between Tokyo and Bangkok. The minister said that there should be over 500 Japanese investors to accompany the Japanese government's representatives to visit Thailand to participate in the celebration. According to the industry minister, the Japanese delegation is also scheduled to visit Thailand's Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) Project, in which they would be confident in expanding their investment projects.
