Rattana Thienwisitsakul, Deputy Director-General of the ministry's Department of Business Development, told journalists of the information on Tuesday, inviting Thai entrepreneurs and those who are interested in starting their own businesses to utilise the e-commerce platform to also cut their costs, in line with the Thai government's digital economy policy to help boost competitiveness of local businesses in the lead-up to the formation of the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) by the end of this year. According to the senior officials, consumers are welcome to do shopping for their favourite items, guaranteed by the "DBD Registered" label, with up to 80 per cent discount at over 300 online stores via their smartphones, tablets and computers through the www.thailandmegasale.com website during the three-day period.
