Thailand to produce up to 3m vehicles annually in few years

BANGKOK, September 5 (TNA) - The Ministry of Industry says that Thailand will likely be able to produce up to three million vehicles annually over the next few years. Industry Minister M.R. Pongsvas Svasti acknowledged on Wednesday that Thailand's automobile industry has kept growing steadily with a bright prospect, attracting China to invest in the Thai auto industry in the near future. According to the industry minister, by November 2012, Thailand should have produced two million vehicles for this year and become the world's 9th biggest automobile producer. The industry minister assessed that Thailand should produce up to three million vehicles yearly over the next couple of years, which would also benefit related industries.(TNA)
