Thailand to see more foreign investors, export orders in Q3

BANGKOK, July 26 (TNA) - Nantawan Sakuntanak, director-general of the Commerce Ministry’s International Trade Promotion Department, is optimistic that Thailand will receive more foreign investors and purchasing orders from overseas in quarter three of this year, ahead of year-end festive seasons. Miss Nantawan said Thailand’s Commerce Minister General Chatchai Sarikulya had asked more than 60 Thai commercial attaches and trade promotion offices overseas to invite importers and manufacturers to visit Thailand and hold business talks, in an attempt to boost third quarter Thai exports. Also, she said, during the same period up to 14,000 foreign businessmen from 70 countries were expected to place up to 7.3 billion baht in purchasing orders in Thailand. (TNA)
