Thailand succeeds in joining Expo Milano 2015

BANGKOK, Oct 18 (TNA) - Thailand’s participation in the Expo Milano 2015 is successful and its pavilion at the fair has been considered as one of the top five most outstanding booths. Agriculture and Cooperatives Minister General Chatchai Sarikulya, who has returned from a five-day official visit to Italy said he thanked the expo organiser in supporting Thailand to participate the expo which began May 1 to October 31. The Thai pavilion receives an immense interest from foreign journalists and social online. They placed the Thai pavilion at the Expo Milano 2015 as one of the top five most outstanding booths along with four others including the United Arab Emirates, Japan, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan. Gen. Chatchai said the Thai pavilion has displayed to the visitors the country’s potential in readiness in becoming the government-sponsored ‘Thailand: Kitchen to the World’. It also displays agricultural development on a sustainable basis, initiated by His Majesty the King aimed at improving the livelihood of Thai agriculturists. So far, about two million people have visited the Thai pavilion at the Expo, meeting the target of 10 per cent of total visitors participating the Expo Milano 2015. (TNA)
