Thailand unveils new investment campaign

BANGKOK, March 3 (TNA) - The government, through the Board of Investment of Thailand (BOI), has unveiled a new promotional campaign, entitled “Unbeatable Thailand, Unparalleled Opportunities”, to revive confidence in the country’s business prospect among international investors to draw more investment projects into the Thai economy. BOI Secretary General Atchaka Sibunruang Brimble said that the first campaign will be a roadshow in Tokyo, from March 6-10, coinciding with Thai Prime Minister Yingluck’s scheduled visit to Japan. According to the BOI chief, over 1,200 business operators have registered to attend the five-day Tokyo roadshow, during which BOI will introduce the Thai government’s new incentives for international investors and post-flood rehabilitation plans. The BOI secretary general revealed that BOI will also organize workshops in Nagoya and similar roadshows in other countries, namely China and South Korea. Industry Minister Pongsvas Svasti said, meanwhile, that the campaign will also boost Thailand's tourism-related businesses subsequently. (TNA)
