Thailand's car manufacturers urged to be prepared for changing technology

BANGKOK, March 21 (TNA) - The Federation of Thai Industries (FTI) suggests that car manufacturers in the country be aware and prepared for the changing technological trend to electric vehicles over the next 5-10 years. Kanchit Chaisupho, new head of the FTI's Automotive Industry Club, voiced the suggestion in Bangkok on Wednesday, saying that the changing innovative trend to more demand for electric cars, if be aware well by car manufacturers in Thailand, should maintain the country's competitiveness on the global auto market and long-established status as a world major car manufacturing base. Kanchit recommended that all manufacturers in Thailand's auto supply chains now need to adjust themselves to cope with the changing situation on the rising demand for electric vehicles. Besides, car manufacturers in the Thai economy need to produce new batches of personnel who are skillful in electric car production and maintenance. (TNA)
