Thailand's commercial offices monitor post-TIP Report 2017 situation

BANGKOK, June 29 (TNA) - Thailand's commercial offices overseas are monitoring the updated situation on the country's exports, following Washington's recent decision on maintaining the Kingdom at the Tier 2 Watch List in its Trafficking in Persons (TIP) Report 2017. Thai Commerce Minister Apiradi Tantaporn told journalists on June 28 that she has instructed her ministry's overseas trade promotion offices and commercial councilors stationed in economies worldwide to follow up the updated situation. The minister said she has also ordered the Thai commercial authorities overseas to brief traders of importing countries in their respective areas to properly understand the Thai government's sincere actions to seriously handle solutions on human trafficking issues.
