Thailand's first recycling technology R&D center ready to serve business operators

SAMUT PRAKAN, THAILAND, June 12 (TNA) - The Thai Ministry of Industry has announced that its Recycling Technology Research and Development Center, the first of its kind in the country that is run by a government agency, is now ready to serve more business operators in the country. Wisanu Tabtieng, Director-General of the ministry's Department of Primary Industries and Mines, made the announcement on Tuesday at the Recycling Technology Research and Development Center, located in Phra Pradaeng area of Bangkok's neighboring Samut Prakan Province. Wisanu told journalists that the Recycling Technology Research and Development Center, run by his department, is part of the Thai government's Industry Transformation Center (ITC), with its function focused on the research and development of the recycling technology and innovative raw materials. Wisanu acknowledged the center has successfully developed 49 types of the modeled recycling technology that have been proven for their practical use. Besides, the center is developing another eight types of the modeled recycling technology for public and national benefits. The senior official proclaimed that more than 1,500 business operators have been transferred the knowhow of the recycling technology from his department's center so far, which has added their business values of more than 600 million baht totally. The senior official then said that his department's center is now welcome more business operators or people who are interested in learning on the knowhow of such the innovative technology for the benefit of their businesses or communities.
