Tourist flow from Russia to Egypt can be quickly restored in case of resumption of flights between the countries, head of Federal Tourism Agency Oleg Safonov said in an interview with TASS as part of the Eastern Economic Forum. "The tourist flow will be restored quite quickly. The most important is to ensure safety of our citizens," he said. He stressed that such safety of tourists must be comprehensive. "Safe flights, stay in the resort areas, transport safety and any other," Safonov said. If these conditions are met, the tourist flow from Russia to Egypt will recover quickly enough. This is thanks to the fact that Egypt offers such a tourism product that is not a competitor to the Russian domestic tourism, he said. In addition, that country is not so far from Russia, and it offers low prices for tours. "There is no such an offer in our country," he said, adding that the summer in Egypt is too hot and that country occupies a niche of winter beach tourism. Read more
