TRA reviews 2010 Schedule of Fees

Manama, Apr. 18 (BNA): The Kingdom of Bahrain's Telecommunications Regulatory Authority ("TRA") decided to review its current Schedule of Fees issued in 2010. The schedule's review aims at allowing Licensed Operators to efficiently provide public and private telecommunications services which benefits consumers of these services. TRA Director of Technical and Operations, Mohamed Al-Noaimi said "The review is intended to adopt an equitable pricing mechanism for Telecommunications License Application Fee, Gross Annual Turnover-based Fee, Annual Frequency License Fees, Numbering Fees, Type Approval Fees, and introduce new structures for Domain Name Fees, Application Fee for Interference Investigation and Fees for Radio-communication Station (Mast and Towers) Stations." TRA invites all interested parties to submit written comments with regard to the issues addressed in the consultation document published on its official website: http://tra.org.bh. All responses and comments should be sent via email to: SOF@tra.org.bh TRA welcomes comments and responses to the specific questions set out in its consultation document.
