Trade turnover between Russia and Azerbaijan in the first half of 2015 decreased by 20% to $1.7 bln year-on-year, Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Alexander Tsybulskiy said Wednesday. "This year we have somewhat slowed down the pace due to objective and well-known reasons. In the first half of the year the trade turnover between our countries amounted to $1.7 bln and showed a slight drop about 20%," he said. At the same time he noted that taking into account physical volumes of supplies, "there was no decline - we see the growth of physical deliveries of goods by more than 50%." According to Tsybulskiy, turnover figures denominated in national currencies, for example in rubles in the first seven months of 2015 it grew by 20 bln rubles ($304.05 nlb) - nearly 25%. Tsybulskiy also said that at the end of 2014 the trade turnover between Russia and Azerbaijan exceeded $4 bln and reached a historic high. "The dynamics of mutual trade, despite objective global difficulties of last year, was one of the best among all the CIS countries.
