Trive To Collaborate With China Company In Renewable Energy Sector

KUALA LUMPUR, March 15 (Bernama) -- Trive Property Group Bhd has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with China-based Hubei Guang Bo New Energy Co Ltd (Hubei Guang) on a joint collaboration in the field of renewable energy. In a statement Wednesday, Trive said, under the MOU, the companies would jointly conduct research and development, production, assembly, distribution and marketing of power generation systems, including the off-grid/grid-connected wind power generation system. "The collaboration aims to enhance the benefits of harnessing renewable energy through the use of solar-power generation system and the wind-solar complementary power generation system," it said. Trive Executive Director, Kua Khai Shyuan, said Hubei Guang would also share with the company its technical know-how on manufacturing at Trive's plant in Kulim, Kedah. "This collaboration aims to capture potential global market share of minimum US$230 billion (US$1 = RM4.45) annually, which is estimated to grow up to 50 per cent over the medium term until 2020," he said. The collaboration would provide Trive with the opportunity to gain additional capacity and technological knowledge in the renewable energy sector by tapping Hubei Guang's specialised technical staff and patented technology. -- BERNAMA
