TRNC and TPAO sign oil field services agreement in Lefkosa

LEFKOSA (A.A) - November 2, 2011 - Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) Economy & Energy Ministry and Turkish Petroleum Corporation (TPAO) signed an oil field services and production agreement in Lefkosa on Wednesday. Delivering a speech at the ceremony, Turkish Energy & Natural Resources Minister Taner Yildiz said TRNC and TPAO signed a transparent agreement complying with international law. Yildiz said that the agreement would bring benefits to next generations. "We have earlier said that we will not be a party of activities conducted by the Greek Cypriot administration in the past 2-3 months against the international law," he said.
