Turkeyˈs Energy Minister: Talks With Iran Continues

Ankara, June 11, IRNA – Turkeyˈs Minister of Energy and Natural Resources said talks with Iran about price of importing gas from Tehran continues. Taner Yildiz was talking to reporters following negotiation with Iranˈs Oil Minister Bijan Zanganeh here on Tuesday. He added that negotiation about Iranˈs proposal to settle the dispute continues. Turkey claims that Iranˈs exporting gas price is high and has complained to International Court of Arbitration. Turkish media reported Iran has proposed that in case of increase in amount of imported gas, Tehran will offer discount on the price. Zanganeh and Yildiz accompanied by their experts discussed the issue for three hours. Turkeyˈs Anadolu Agency said that during yesterday meeting between President Hassan Rouhani and Premier Recap Tayyip Erdogan, both sides did not reach any agreement on price discount for exporting Iranˈs gas to Turkey./end
