Turkey Ready To Make Health Investment In Khorramshahr

Abadan, Khuzestan Prov., Oct 28, IRNA – Managing Director of Okyanus Holding Company of Turkey announced readiness of his company for making investment in the field of health and sanitation in the city of Khorramshahr, in southwest Iran. Alattin Murat told IRNA that the company is active in the field of health and sanitation, foodstuffs, construction of hospitals, livestock breeding, science and technology, petrochemicals and real estate properties. He said the company has about 6 thousand personnel and at least 130 workings places and make an annual amount of $400 million. The Turkish official said first large resources and capacities in Khorramshahr should be evaluated and a second visit will be made to Iran for making investment. He expressed the hope that after identifying the existing capacities in Khorramshahr, joint activities will be made in health and sanitation as well as in foodstuffs and petrochemicals. Meanwhile, Governor General of Khorramshahr Valiollah Hayati who was speaking at a joint session of the visiting Turkish delegation and Khorramshahr Chamber of Commerce, said conditions are ripe for the presence of foreign and domestic investors in the city. He said given the land and marine borders of Khorramshahr as well as surface and railroad transportation, Arvand Free Zone and Arvandan oil, gas and petrochemical area, the port city enjoys special unique capacity for investment. He pointed to proper capacities in downstream oil and petrochemical industries in Khorramshahr and said the city by possessing industrial and agricultural township and complexes for aquaculture and gardening has a large capacity for investment. Also speaking at the session, Seyed Ahmad Hosseini Chairman of Khorramshahr Chamber of Commerce said with regard to the $30 billon letter of understanding signed between Iran and Turkey for annual trade transactions common cooperation between Iran, Turkey and Iraq was essential in trade exchanges./end
