Turkey's MUSIA Hosts Iran Trade Delegation

Ankara, Oct 22, IRNA – Iran and Turkey discussed the process of bilateral trade cooperation in Istanbul upon operation of the agreement on trade preferences between the two countries. Mir Abotaleb Badri, a deputy at Iran Trade Development Organization who is in Istanbul at the head of a 19-member delegation of officials of different sectors, had his first meeting with members of the board of directors of MUSIAD (Independent Industrialists’ and Businessmen’s Association of Turkey). MUSIAD International Organization Commission President Alper Esen and a number of members of the association, as one of the influential civil associations in the field of economy and trade which is close to the Turkish government, hosted the Iranian delegation. During the meeting, mechanisms for development of economic and trade cooperation between the two countries and different points about continuation of bilateral cooperation and its improvement were discussed. The Iranian delegation accompanied by Mohsen Mortezaei-far, Iran’s Consul General in Istanbul attended a meeting at Istanbul Chamber of Commerce as the biggest chamber of Turkey and discussed process of cooperation as well as economic and trade relations between the two countries with officials of the chamber. Speaking at the meeting, Mortezaei-far said Iran and Turkey enjoy potential capacities and capabilities for overall development of economic and trade relations, adding that such facilities should be used properly in line with national interests of the two countries./end
