Turkish Development Minister Departs For Tehran

Tehran, April 27, IRNA – Turkish Development Minister Cevdet Yilmaz left Ankara for Tehran late Friday to discuss bilateral ties with Iranian officials. Yilmaz, heading a high-ranking delegation, is slated to meet with Iranˈs Vice-President for International Affairs Ali Saeedlou and Iranian Trade, Industry and Mines Minister Mehdi Ghazanfari during his stay in Tehran. The Turkish development minister and Saeedlou, who is also head of Iran-Turkey joint work-group for follow-up of Tehran-Ankara ties, will also take part in a meeting to discuss the developments in their relations. Yilmaz has embarked on a two-day visit to Iran upon an invitation by Iranˈs Vice-President Saeedlou. Before his departure to Tehran, the Turkish development minister said that Turkey has legitimate trade ties with Iran and that Ankara is determined to broaden its trade and economic ties with Iran./end
