Turkish Official Calls For Expanding Trade Ties With Iran

Sanandaj, Kordestan, Nov 3, IRNA -- Turkish Consul General in Orumieh Mehmet Bulut announced that his mission is investment and boosting economic transactions between Turkey and Iran’s western provinces. “We are trying to prepare the grounds for economic and trade transactions as well as investment opportunities between Iran and Turkey,” Bulut said in a meeting with economic activists of Kurdistan province in the western city of Sanandaj. Bulut pointed to a rise in the level of cooperation between Iran and Turkey in recent years, and said, “This increase in the level of relations is a good advantage for upgrading economic cooperation between Iran’s western provinces and Turkey.” “We are trying to increase the trade cooperation between Tehran and Ankara to the level of $30 billion,” the Turkish consul general said./end
