UAE to host Lorestan Investment Opportunities Conference

Khorramabad, Lorestan Prov., Nov 22, IRNA – A conference on Investment Opportunities in Lorestan will be held in the United Arab Emirates in the calendar month of Azar (November/December). Chairman of Khorramabad Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture, Hossein Salahvarzi, told reporters on Saturday that the conference is aimed at introducing investment capacities and opportunities in the province in the areas of industry and mines, agriculture, tourism and export products. He said the conference will be held in Dubai in the middle of the month (Dec. 6) with the participation of Lorestan residents and Iranians residing in Dubai and other UAE sheikhdoms. The official said the visit has been organized by Khorramabad Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture with cooperation of people of Lorestan residing in the UAE and noted that officials of Lorestan governor general’s office will also attend the event. Salahvarzi further remarked that on the sidelines of the conference Lorestan products will be put on display and industrialist and tradesmen of Lorestan who produce exportable commodities will hold talks with their fellow countrymen and businessmen residing in the UAE with an aim of developing and increasing non-oil exports. He appreciated efforts of governor general of Lorestan province in attracting investment of fellow countrymen residing abroad as well as expansion of foreign interaction for boosting exports from the province./end
