US supports construction of Trans-Caspian gas pipeline

Baku, April 24, AZERTAC The United States has expressed support for the European Union in the construction of the Trans-Caspian gas pipeline. US Energy Secretary Ernest Moniz said Washington fully backs the plans for Caspian gas as an alternative fuel source in Europe. The European Commission has put forward very sensitive objections in the field of energy security, which relate to market regulation and the diversification of fuel supplies to Europe, he added.
