VP: Economic Activities Should Correspond To Environmental Capacity

Birjand, South Khorasan Prov., Sept 16, IRNA – Vice-President and head of the Department of Environment Masoumeh Ebtekar said here Monday that in the world today each economic activity requires initial permission with regard to the environment as economic activities often manipulate the environment. Speaking at a local gathering, she put emphasis on regular monitoring of the environment in this regard and said one of the serious approaches of the 11th government is the subject of “green economy”. “Based on this theme we have started our movement towards development of green resources such as new energies because in the domain of green economy no environmental destruction and pollution will be caused.”/end
