Wanita MCA Forms Partnership With China Entrepreneurs

KUALA LUMPUR, May 22 (Bernama) -- Women entrepreneurs from China are keen to form a partnership with Wanita MCA (Women Malaysian Chinese Association) to promote Malaysian products as well as make Malaysia a hub for other Asean countries, said Wanita MCA chief Heng Seai Kie. "With the partnership, through the Asia Wisdom Female Union, Wanita MCA will be the smart partner to connect Malaysia-China entrepreneurs who want to expand the market for local products which are in high demand in China. "Several sectors have been identified, amongst them local food products that serve the mass market such as Tongkat Ali, White Coffee and durian," she said in a press conference at Wisma MCA Thursday, after meeting a group of entrepreneurs from China. "Other industries include Malaysia MySecond Home, furniture, education, property, health tourism, cosmetics tourism and beauty products. "The Internet industry and e-trade are also in high demand there," she said. Heng said a committee has been set up to identify the list of products and local suppliers who are interested to expand their market to China. At the same time, Wanita MCA has also launched maternal care services for mothers who have just given birth named Malaysian Professional Confinement Lady, on its website www.mpcl.com.my. She said the scheme has received cooperation from Taiwan's Zhong Zhou Technology University. --BERNAMA
