Zionists Furious Over Iran's Successful Industrial, Trade Diplomacy

London, Oct 15, IRNA – The plan to hold the first ever meeting of "Iran-Europe Forum" here on Wednesday has caused fury among Zionist lobbies. During the meeting, senior officials and managers of over 200 major companies will have the opportunity to examine potential cooperation with Iran. Having failed to stop the event, the Zionist extremist groups and pro-Israel lobbies in Britain keep expressing their wrath over the meeting. They seek to boycott the meeting which is set to explore ways and areas of trade exchanges between Iran and Europe once a comprehensive nuclear deal is finally reached and sanctions are removed. According to the Israeli news site Aruz Sheva, a number of civil and trade organizations have sent a joint letter to the entrepreneurs invited to the forum not to take part in the event. The news site described the meeting as the biggest gathering of traders and investors. It quoted the Chair of the Zionist Federation in the Great Britain and Ireland Paul Charn as saying that it was still too soon to talk about business with Iran though some sanctions were lifted after the November 24 nuclear agreement between Tehran and the G5+1. Many western media and press have already referred to the two-day event as the biggest trade and investment gathering. With the prospect of improved political relations and a new business climate between Europe and Iran, the 1st Europe-Iran Forum opened in London on Wednesday. The event, organized by the European Voice aims to “properly prepare and evaluate the post-sanctions trade framework and investment opportunities", according to a brochure released by the organizers. The unique event is an incomparable occasion to gain practical insights from experts across all industries, providing the most relevant, up-to-date information from Iran and Europe. Through the workshop discussions, the participants will have the unique opportunity to debate and network with over 200 senior business executives from across sectors, as well as policy makers from Iran and Europe, on the opportunities and challenges represented by Iran's valuable and largely untapped marketplace. It is anticipated that the forum participants would take constructive steps toward private sector collaboration on both sides, giving Iran the prospect of a competitive presence in the global economy and establishing regional and international interaction with a win-win approach. Meanwhile, the Wall Street Journal carried an opinion column on the London event on Sunday titled “Iran Tries to Open for Business'. To prove his claim, the writer referred to the Europe-Iran Forum bringing together global law firms (Dentons Europe), business consultancies (FTI), marketing firms (WPP ), auctioneers ( Sotheby’s ) and telecom providers (MTN), among many others. Former UK foreign secretary Jack Straw and former French foreign minister Hubert Védrine are attending the London event. Another notable attendee is Mohammad Reza Ansari, chairman of Kayson Co., an engineering and construction firm with projects in Central Asia, Belarus and Venezuela. The conference occurs simultaneous with continued talks between Iran and G5+1 countries this week in Vienna. Iran is not officially conducting the conference but supports it. The event will open by the message of President Hassan Rouhani to be read out by his bureau chief Mohammad Nahavandian. Iranian oil market, petrochemical, auto industry along with other investment opportunities valued over dlrs 100 billion are to be presented and discussed on the two-day conference./end
