‘MONGOLIAN NATIONAL BALLET’ SECOND COMPETITION TO BE HELD

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Under the auspices of the Minister of Education, Culture, Science and Sports, the second ‘Mongolian National Ballet’ competition will be held on May 27-29 in Ulaanbaatar. The competition aims to discovering the best future ballet dancers of Mongolia, encourage to improve their skills as well as professional dancers and introducing new trends and innovations of Mongolian and world ballet to artists. The competition also targets to uncover the talents of skilled dancers to represent the country on the world stage and to provide them with this opportunity. As a result, new prospects will be opened up for the Mongolian ballet and it will be a great contribution to classical art. Ballet is a composite art that reflects the meaning and events through the music and unique dance movements, combining other art forms. ‘Ballet’ is a French word which had its origin in Latin ‘ballo’, meaning ‘to dance’. It is also known as a dance that expresses the action and movements through melodic characters. Classical dance differs in that it borrowed the best elements of all dances of the world. Students and pupils studying dance at professional level will participate in the ‘Mongolian National Ballet’ competition. The competition will be held in two rounds with age categories 6-8, 9-11, 12-14 and 15-18. B.Misheel
