30 States To Attend Tehran Animation Fest.

Tehran, Sept 21, IRNA - Over 30 countries have so far registered for the Ninth Tehran International Animation Festival. According to the festival’s secretariat, almost 230 works have so far been submitted from the participating countries. Those interested can submit their entries by December 6 on www.tehran-animafestival.ir The Ninth Tehran International Animation Festival will be held in four categories, namely competition, non-competition, special screening and panorama. The event will be hosted by Cultural-Artistic Center for the Institute for Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults from March 8-12, 2015. The objectives of the festival are creating an appropriate ground for exchange of ideas, thoughts and experience through purposeful collection and presentation of artworks; spotting potentials and encouraging newcomers to create and innovate, developing abilities by adopting new attitudes and techniques to improve the quality. Films that have been produced after 2010 and have not been presented in the previous editions of the festival can be selected in this section. An independent five-member panel of jury consisting of prominent animation experts will judge the works and grant awards./end
