ACTRESS I.ODONCHIMEG WINS BEST ACTRESS AWARD FROM SCO FILM FESTIVAL

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ State Honored Actress I.Odonchimeg won the Best Actress Award for her role Nomoo in 'Insane Mother' Mongolian film at the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Film Festival held in Qingdao, East China's Shandong Province on June 13-17. A total of 55 films from 12 countries competed in six categories at the SCO Film Festival, of which four films were Mongolian such as ‘White Silk’, ‘Insane Mother’, ‘Mother’ and ‘Children of Chinggis’. ‘X TUTS’ Production produced and released ‘Insane Mother’ film last January, which is a book-to-movie adaptation of a Chinese novel by Wang Heng Ji. The film depicts Mongolian life in the 1900s, tradition, culture, relationship between people and mother earth and importance of bloodline. Actor of X Tuts production T.Barkhuu announced through his Facebook page that 'Insane Mother' film successfully participated at the SCO Film Festival by winning the Best Actress Award. Artists of 'Insane Mother' signed a memorandum during the Film Festival organized in the scope of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation to release the film in China. E.Altanzul
