"AGULA" JAZZ CONCERT TO BE STAGED

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A jazz concert of Mongolia and Switzerland bands will be performed in the State Opera and Ballet Theatre May 29-30. It will be a part of the Mongolian-Swiss music exchange program called "Agula". Initiated by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation /SDC/, this project has been co-organized by the Arts Council of Mongolia as a part of celebration of the 50th anniversary of the diplomatic ties between the two countries and 10th cooperation anniversary of the SDC. The project celebrates bilateral fruitful cooperation in economy, culture and art, and humanity spheres through a music exchange. In frames of the program, Mongolian ethno jazz band “Arga Bileg” and Swiss “Heinrich Kaenzig Quintet” bands are working together on ten new music pieces for the first time, and these works are expected to be performed at the concert. Furthermore, a brand new album is planned to be released consisting of six new compositions by Swiss Heinrich Kaenzig and Mongolian T.Purevsukh, and four new rearrangements of each group's work as well.
