CFF head invites Iranian cineastes to Tunisia film festival

Tunis, May 5, IRNA - Dora Bouchoucha, director of Carthage Film Festival in a meeting on Monday with Iranˈs cultural attaché to Tunisia Sadeq Ramezani Golafzani invited Iranian cineastes to attend this international festival. During the meeting, Ramezani Golafzani stressed the important role of Carthage Film Festival to help enhance the two nationˈs cultural and cinematic relations. Head of Iran’s Cinema Organization Hojatollah Ayoubi is scheduled to travel to Tunisia and meet with the country’s cultural officials. Ayoubi is planning to take part in the opening ceremony of Tunisia-Iran Friendship Association. Iranian cinema has been present in Tunisian film festivals for several times. The 2012 Carthage International Film Festival presented a particular section for screening Iranian cinematic productions. Established in 1966, the Carthage Film Festival is a biannual cinematic event hosted by the government of Tunisia. The 2014 Carthage International Film Festival is scheduled to be held from November 1 to 8, in the Tunisian suburb of Carthage, near the capital Tunis. end
