Gil Shohat: I am impressed by the beauty of Gabala

To perform at the same ceremony with Johannesburg Philharmonic Orchestra (JPO) is a great honor for any musician”, said the participant of VI Gabala International Music Festival, an Israeli classical music composer, conductor and pianist Gil Shohat. He thanked festival organizers for the grandiose ceremony and said that, this was his second visit to Azerbaijan. The prominent pianist spoke of the political, economic and cultural ties between Azerbaijan and Israeli. "There is great interest to the Gabala International Music Festival in the world. I took great pleasure from the concert held within the framework of the festival. I think the audience was also impressed by my interpretation. Gabala is located in a mountainous area and this inspires me to perform more enthusiastically. The place is truly amazing and magic. The people of Gabala are friendly and hospitable. I loved the Azerbaijani cuisine. The world famous orchestras have gathered here. This festival is one of the prestigious festivals in the world," he added.
