Iran, Italy to stage joint play

TEHRAN, Nov. 18 (MNA) – Iran and Italy will stage a joint theatre Fathers, Mothers and Kids at Tehran’s City Theater. The performance, a joint project of Iranian Moj troupe and Italian Meticci Company, will be staged in Iran. Directed by Arash Abbasi, the play’s cast will include a group of Italian, Russian and French artists. The main theme of the work will be the migration and humanitarian crises in Europe as well as the immigrants themselves. The play will go on stage in Tehran’s City Theater from Nov 24-28 during Iran’s Resistance Theater Festival and then it will be performed in European countries. Back in 2014, the Iranian trope performed The Author Is Dead in several Italian cities including Rome, Bologna, Milan and Venice.
