MONGOLIAN CALLIGRAPHY CONTEST HELD AMONG CHILDREN

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The 1st International Children’s Art Festival began with a calligraphy contest on August 7, Monday. More than 180 works were displayed at the calligraphy exhibition/contest held at the Junior Center for Creative Arts in the margins of the 1st International Children’s Art Festival which will take place in Ulaanbaatar on August 23. D.Enkhtur, Deputy Mayor of Ulaanbaatar in charge of Poverty Reduction and Employment, B.Khaliun, Deputy Head of Family, Youth and Child Development Agency, U.Gan-Ulzii, Head of Family and Child Development Division of the capital city, D.Uranbileg, Director of the Junior Center for Creative Arts and O.Tegshee, Head of Cultural Exchange Association of Inner Mongolian Autonomous Region of China were present at the Monday event to present the awards of the contest. More than 100 calligraphy works were submitted from the Inner Mongolian Autonomous Region of China for this exhibition which aimed to elevate the value of traditional Mongolian script and promote friendship between the children from Mongolian ethnic groups.
