Mrs America greatly impressed by Crimea, its hospitality

MOSCOW, September 30. /ITAR-TASS/. Mrs America 2014 title winner Michelle Evans said she was greatly impressed with beautiful landscapes of Crimea’s Yalta resort and hospitality of Crimeans and did not want to leave the peninsula. Together with her husband, she arrived in Russia with an American delegation to choose places for Mrs America and Mrs World-Russia pageants in Crimea. The American beauty told TASS that she and her husband were a little nervous about the trip and it was hard for them to leave their small daughter at home. But they were shocked at the welcome in Russia. They were welcomed as a royal family, Evans said. They visited wonderful picturesque sites in Crimea. She said she was greatly impressed with Yalta’s landscapes and even did not want to leave for her home, but she could not wait to tell American women about the wonderful place they visited. She said she tasted borsch (Ukrainian soup) in a Russian-Ukrainian restaurant and met with Russian beauties in Sevastopol. They talked about families and children and agreed it would be wonderful to take American women there. The head of the organizing committee of the Mrs Russia-Mrs America international programme, Alexander Kresnikov, added that Evans intended to send letters to representatives of all the American states to tell them about her trip in detail. Michelle Evans, who works as a hospital nurse, represented the state of Oklahoma at the Mrs America 2014 contest. The final of the 39th Mrs America national contest will take place in Sevastopol in the autumn of 2015 together with the Mrs World-Russia contest. The goal of the shows is promotion of family values and ideals of peace, goodness and beauty. Participants in the contests are married young women who as a rule have children and participate in charity activities and political and public life in their countries. Representatives from 51 American states will arrive in Sevastopol with their husbands, children and friends. Together with Russian beauties, they will prepare for the pageant, will have a sightseeing tour of the peninsula and visit children’s centres and health resort sites. In the final, the jury will name two winners who will be presented with crowns and join hands in a friendly greeting.
