Music duo thrills audience at French embassy recital

Manama: A recital at Residence of France has seen a select audience treated to some masterful musical performances. The French embassy on Thursday evening played host to an Opera Gala Dinner that featured Aurélie Loilier, soprano, and Claire Foison, pianist, who thrilled an audience composed of Ambassador Cécile Longé, high-rank Bahraini civil servants, business leaders and cultural figures. The two-part performance was from a diversified musical repertoire that ranged from Handel and Mozart to Verdi and Bellini. Invited by the French embassy to Bahrain, the artists, who were flown especially from Paris for the unique recital, amazed the attendance with their breathtaking stage presence and fascinating talent.
