Persian Renderings Of Pamuk’s ‘The Silent House’ Released

Tehran, Sept 21, IRNA - Two Persian translations of ‘The Silent House’, the second most important novel by leading Turkish author Orhan Pamuk have been published recently in Tehran. The version published by Nashr-e Negah (Negah Publication Institute) went out of stock ten day after its first release, according to Sunday's edition of 'Iran Daily'. The executive chief of the institute Farid Moradi said that their version, translated by Marzieh Khosravi, has been sold out and enthusiasts should wait for the second edition of this work. Nashr-e Pouyandeh (Pouyandeh Publication Institute) in Tehran has also released a version of ‘The Silent House’ translated to Persian by Nahid Tabatabeiha. Pamuk is a celebrated Turkish novelist, screenwriter and scholar who won the 2006 Nobel Prize in Literature./end
