Russian movies under spotlight at Hong Kong FilMart

HONG KONG, March 23. /TASS/. Companies from more than 30 countries, including Russia, are participating in Asia’s largest film and entertainment market, FilMart, in Hong Kong. The Russian Cinema stand, organized by the Cinema Fund jointly with the Russian Culture Ministry, presents a total of 18 Russian production companies, the spokesperson for the stand, Olga Rachkina, said. The four-day forum brings together the leading filmmakers and buyers of films from across the region and also the representatives of the cinema business interested in the cooperation with Asia. The Hong Kong International Film&TV Market is part of the Entertainment Expo Hong Kong which will last until April 19. Ahead of the FilMart, the Russian Film Week opened on March 18 with the screening of the epic war drama Stalingrad, directed by Fedor Bondarchuk (2013). Read more
