Tunisian festival to host Iranian vocalist

Tehran, July 30, IRNA – Noted Iranian vocalist Mohammad Mo'tamedi will stage performances at the Carthage Music Festival in Tunisia. According to Mehr News Agency, the festival extended an invitation to Mo'tamedi to perform in the event on July 30 and August 9. He will be accompanied by Jasser Haj Youssef in his first concert at the festival. Haj Youssef is a Tunisian violinist, viola d'amore player and composer who works in wide variety of musical situations: Oriental music, contemporary music and jazz. In his second performance, Mo'tamedi will be accompanied by Sina Jahan-Abadi, Azad Mirzapour, Hossein Rezaei-Nia and Ali Rahimi. A joint concert Mo'tamedi performed with Alim Qasimov, an Azerbaijani musician and one of the foremost mugham singers in Azerbaijan, at last year's edition of the event was well-received by the audience.
