US ARMY BAND TO PERFORM IN CHINGIS SQUARE

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The U.S. Embassy in Ulaanbaatar announced on Friday that the U.S. Eighth Army Band will perform a concert in Chinggis Khaan Square this June 30 at 6 pm. The performance is open to the public and is free of charge. The Band is also scheduled for additional performances at closed events, one of them is a joint concert with the Mongolian Armed Forces Band. The U.S. Eighth Army Band is here to celebrate the July 4th U.S. Independence Day and the 25th Anniversary of the signing of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The passage and implementation of the ADA changed the face of American society in numerous ways, enhancing the independence, full participation, inclusion, and equality of opportunity for Americans with disabilities. The Eighth Army Band began its history of service to the U.S. on July 1 of 1916. The Band’s highly trained Soldier-Musicians perform musical styles from traditional military marches to chamber music, as well as the latest country, pop, rock, and jazz tunes.
